Title: Way to eliminate spammers from the boards Post by: Ken Layton on June 15, 2006, 11:07:32 am I've noticed that some forums (especially over on colamachines.com) have become "spammer's paradise" due to lack of moderation. Some other forums I visit have turned on the "visual confirmation" feature and it has eliminated all the spammers/spambots.

Some time ago, we began having some problems here as well, but we went to email verification in order to complete registration. This greatly reduced if not ceased spamming. I still get plenty of errors in attempts from users still trying... I'm not sure if Ed knows if or how his software can accomplish this feature... |
