New to the site and have a question. I have a Vendorlator VF 56 B-C or G on the back patio with a mechanism issue but am asking about another Vendorlator that I found today. It runs quiet and cold and is in pretty good shape but it does have one issue. It's a VF 56 BK that's missing the door lock on the main door. Does anyone know how I can get the door open. The price is right but I haven't been able to look inside and don't want to end up with something I can't use. Thanks in advance, Lance. Title: Vf56 missing door lock Post by: on June 30, 2006, 10:52:01 pm It still has the bezel from the lock so the hole is too small for a finger to fit. I tried poking around with a screwdriver in there but couldn't get anything to move.

The lock arm only needs to move up 3/4" or so. Some poking with a bent wire coat hanger should get it. Creighton Title: Vf56 missing door lock Post by: collecture on June 30, 2006, 11:48:02 pm Get a larger screwdriver that will wedge inside the cylinder of the lock and twist. It is just a circular cam inside with a locking bar, so you just need to rotate the cam somehow.
