Title: 1 cent/5cent machines Post by: Lulu on May 20, 2006, 06:50:25 am I've been browsing Ebay for gum machines and noticed that some machines come in the 1 cent or 5 cent model. Are the coin mechanisms in these interchangable? I'm just wondering if the 5 cent machines were originally 1 cent and someone has combined parts to make a workable machine or if the 5 cent machines were just later versions? Appreciate any input on this.

I'd rather have originals, but wasn't sure about some of the ones I see on Ebay. I've picked up a few to restore and keep, but most on Ebay are out of my price range. Thanks for the info.

the time on the routes. you should be able to pick up a Acorn for around $25 and a Topper for around $45 on eBay... Fun little machines... |
