Title: Exterior white paint is yellowish Post by: on May 15, 2006, 11:20:21 pm The two tone paint on my uss-8-64 has a few problems, One of those being the white paint has yellowed in places. If there anyway to get it back to white without repainting?
Thanks in advance. Title: Exterior white paint is yellowish Post by: firemun on May 16, 2006, 06:32:35 am Sometiimes rubbing compound or fine sanding (1000 grit or higher) can help as it is only the top of the paint that has yellowed.
Jeff Title: Exterior white paint is yellowish Post by: bubba on May 16, 2006, 06:35:33 am Well, I used a high speed buffbuffing pad in an electric drill and compound on My USS, and it cleaned up pretty well. Mine is a newer model all red, but it brightened up and really made the paint shine. Followed it up with some good wax and it really looks good. The next time I will probably leave the pad in the my buffer and do it the same way I would do a car.
