Title: U-select-it Post by: bubba on May 12, 2006, 09:51:53 pm Well, I got my new toy today.. Its pretty darn cool. It looks complete to me except for the base. It needs a paint job and some decals, but no body work, and very little rust. I do need someone that knows about these machines, or maybe a manual on the machine. It is a nickle machine, and it is not taking nickles. I tried about 30 different ones, and none worked. I tried to pull the slug rejector out, and its caught on something. It looks like the outer cover should come off with the removal of 6 screws on the bottom of the machine. I pulled the 6 screws (only breaking one), and took the turn knob off, but I cannot figure out how to get the crank handle off or out of the machine. Until I get that apart, I cannot get the cover off to have a look inside....
Here are a few pictures.. I think this is going to be put to the side for now until I complete the NEHI and then my 88, so I have a bit of time to get this info together. It doesn't look like a whole lot to the machine, so I may decide to work on this after the Nehi is finished--- I dunno. Title: U-select-it Post by: Eric on May 13, 2006, 11:44:57 am Nice machine.....
On your Nehi... How are you going to restore it? What model is it? Maybe I can make the Decal a Nehi Cap for you so when your friend makes it... it can be something you can use and show all of us how it looks and works. again Cool U-Select.... gotta get one of those too. Title: U-select-it Post by: bubba on May 13, 2006, 03:32:19 pm Eric.. here is a link to my NEHI machine... http://soda-machines.com/cgi-loc....;t=4127
A bottle cap would definately look cool on the machine... I am going to do the same paint scheme as this one. The machine will be all white, with a red door and red lettering. Not quite sure about what color red yet, but it is probably close to maroonish kinda red... Not a Fire Engine Red. I'll try and get some pics of my progress.. maybe it'll help me get my butt moving to get it done.. I'm about 3/4 of the way to getting it primed, and I just don't seem to have the time to get it finished... Title: U-select-it Post by: Lulu on May 15, 2006, 07:41:23 am Bubba,
Check out this seller on Ebay: rpolcin He's got some U Select It decals you may need for your machine. Title: U-select-it Post by: bubba on May 16, 2006, 06:26:09 am Thanks Lulu.. I saw those... I got yelled at by my wife, so I made a promise that I wouldn't do anything on this machine until I finished up atleast my RC machine. I have a real bad habbit of not finishing projects she thinks...
