Title: Comments on machine Post by: dr galaga on May 04, 2006, 09:21:25 pm I'm thinking on bidding on this Cavalier CS-80-C. Looks like they put a 70's sticker side on the sides, but it looks pretty clean. I've been looking for a V90, but this one is kind of close and it has more selections than my V63. Any comments from the peanut gallery on this?

Creighton *edit* see what you mean. Looks like the Jones plug is gone. Strange. Title: Comments on machine Post by: loman4ec on May 04, 2006, 10:10:53 pm The jones plug is there. It is just under the coin bezel. It hinges out and plugs in. Nice machine! If I were you I would get it. I have had two identical to that. I sold one of them origional for $700. Go for it. I like the cavaliers much better than the vendo's.

Good luck! Title: Comments on machine Post by: on May 05, 2006, 12:30:27 am I agree, GO FOR IT. I love those Cavaliers! It's identical to my CS-64 (except for it being taller of course). You've seen mine in person. Those Cavs have a very nice, clean look.
(Disclaimer: Yes I realize that is stuff on top of my soda machine. But as previously mentioned, I glued a sheet of soft red felt to the bottom of the crate, so no machines were harmed in the making of this photograph.) Title: Comments on machine Post by: dr galaga on May 05, 2006, 07:38:27 pm Well, the seller says that the Jones plug is all there and it is only missing the mech.
I used to have a Cavalier 64 at one time. It was the cleanest, unrestored machine I have ever seen. Picked it up for something like $125 at the Chicagoland Show. That was the first and last time my dad let me take his station wagon (back in college) because he knew I couldn't fit anything large in my Camaro! Title: Comments on machine Post by: dr galaga on May 11, 2006, 07:20:23 pm I got it for $385. I almost lost out though. Ebay/the web slowed down just as I was entering my bid (took almost 50 seconds to enter and confirm the bid - got it in 2 seconds before the end - too close for me). Anyone have a manual for this?

I usually find my bid was 2 seconds too late. This is a good reason to use a bid snipe service on such an important item. I use E-snipe to enter a bid for me 6 seconds before the end of the auction, then I sit back and watch. Their fee is very reasonable and their service very reliable. Title: Comments on machine Post by: Eric on May 12, 2006, 11:10:03 am Congrats on the machine! Post pics when you can!
