Title: Bead blaster
Post by: collecture on April 25, 2006, 11:53:42 pm
We are planning to expand the house later this year and I am going to have a little shop space finally. I am thinking about getting a bead blaster for the shop. Anybody have any recommendations on makes and models of blasters I should look at?
Also, we are putting a 3 car garage in; however, currently only have two drivers and two cars. I was thinking of putting up a temporary wall separating the third bay and using it to try my hand at painting. Any recommendations there as to makeshift booth setup - vents, compressor location, etc.

Sounds awesome! I can't wait to have some more space of my own to try painting.

The person to talk to about the info you need is Terry (AKA Sodaworks) He recently purchased a really nice beadblaster w/ a dust collection system and he also set up a really sweet paint booth.

Tom search on "shop", "booth" or "blaster".  You'll get to see Terry's setup and also find a couple discussions on bead blasters, sand blasters.  I also found the Painting Lads site real helpful when I was trying to decide whether or not to attempt painting on my own.  When your done, make sure you post some pics in the "My shop is better than your shop" thread that I started a couple months ag0 :D .

Terry,
What are the workspace and overall dimensions? Who makes it? Does it come complete or did you have to buy several components?
P.S. Did you receive my PM?
