Title: Standard change maker Post by: TheGarbageHunter on April 16, 2006, 11:59:41 am Well this little beauty came in last week. After seeing Tom's I had to have one. Picked it up on Ebay (Thanks for not bidding against fellow soda-machine addics). The change giver is complete and in great condition for its age. Only draw back is I paid 2x the amount that Tom did for his. OK, I'm happy . Will try to post pics.
Just wanted to share my excitment. Thanks Title: Standard change maker Post by: sodaworks on April 16, 2006, 12:23:59 pm Nice find Victor!!
I've been away from home working our plant outage 16-20 hour days for the last three weeks. I'll be easier to get a hold of here in the next couple of days. Title: Standard change maker Post by: collecture on April 16, 2006, 12:31:07 pm Looks nice Victor!
Mine is missing the Stainless Steel bezel around the coin return area. I can kind of tell where mine was, but since you have one - can you give me the exact measurements off yours or fab one for me and I'll reimburse you. All help would be appreciated. Title: Standard change maker Post by: Eric on April 16, 2006, 10:10:10 pm Man paint that with silver hammertone paint and it'll look brand new!
Great score. Title: Standard change maker Post by: firemun on April 16, 2006, 10:14:39 pm Title: Standard change maker Post by: collecture on April 17, 2006, 12:54:09 am
MoonDawg's is for a half dollar - these change a quarter. Different mech also.
I was thinking on painting mine the DP green, put a couple of DP bottle decals on each side and keep it by my 10 cent DP VMC 110. These things hold like $40 in change. Title: Standard change maker Post by: Eric on April 17, 2006, 09:41:08 am this was in a collection of manuals that Josh sent me it was in with the too far gone Stoner and Nationl manuals....
It is BRITTLE BRITTLE but I could probably Xerox it and send you a copy if Josh doesn't mind (since they are his) also have the 500 series one too (.50¢) They are about 14 pages...... Title: Standard change maker Post by: Eric on April 17, 2006, 09:43:19 am Also a good way to see how to restore the wording on the front if you wanted to get water release decals made.
Title: Standard change maker Post by: loman4ec on April 17, 2006, 11:05:15 am Eric, Please do what you can with those manuals. I am just happy to see them used.

Hey Eric, I would love to have a copy if not too much trouble. I'd even buy the original from you or Josh if you want to part with it. I could scan the pages in and send Victor the file as well as anyone else here that wanted it. Let me know if I owe you anything or if you need my address. Victor, Most of my decals are still in nice shape. If you ever want to restore yours, maybe we can collaborate on getting some decals made? Title: Standard change maker Post by: Eric on April 17, 2006, 05:08:37 pm Anyone interested in this... Just pay for shipping. I'll send out xerox copies. Maybe Tom or someone here could clean them and post them somewhere for everyone to down load...
Just PM me. Title: Standard change maker Post by: TheGarbageHunter on April 17, 2006, 06:19:11 pm Hi Terry,
Good to hear all is fine. I did drop you a call, was starting to wonder what happened to you. Looking forward to talking to you soon. No Problem Tom. I can take my changer down to a machine shop I know and ask for an estimate. I will also send you its measurments and estimate, just in case you want to do it yourself. Though may take me a few weeks before I can get the time off work to get down their. Keep you posted. Defenitly would like a copy of that manual. Looks Good. Title: Standard change maker Post by: Eric on April 21, 2006, 02:10:08 pm Tom...
Sending out the manuals for the .25 and .50 today.... so scan away! I think Jim has/will have a place for them to down load for everybody. Thanks for doing this. Title: Standard change maker Post by: collecture on April 21, 2006, 08:34:20 pm Thanks Eric!
I get it done as soon as I can. Title: Re: Standard change maker Post by: jackjosh on May 14, 2011, 08:39:44 pm I finished with my Jacobs 26 restoration and now I painted up a Standard Coin Changer to go with the machine.
Title: Re: Standard change maker Post by: Larry on May 14, 2011, 11:46:36 pm Hopefully, Jim could add this manual, like when I added my Stoner manuals to the site. It's always good to get a freebie. Let's face it, we all collect the same crap and we should all share and help each other. Maybe that's why I'm so poor, I share.
Title: Re: Standard change maker Post by: Larry on May 15, 2011, 07:51:16 am I have a dual Standard changer that is two dimes and one nickel for a quarter and two quarters for a half dollar. I also have a single Standard changer that is two nickels for one dime. I was going to replace the half dollar with the dime mech but there was more to modify than I wanted to do. I'm debating on selling them. I've been selling a lot of my over stock on Ebay lately, and these two qualify for that. I might take the quarter tube out of the dual machine and use it for a 1940 poker machine I have. Someone removed the payout tube. I haven't compared the tube to the machine yet. If it doesn't work, or if I find a better idea for a payout tube, I'll get rid of these changers. No more wall space available.
What are the changers going for now? Title: Re: Standard change maker Post by: Jim on May 15, 2011, 10:50:44 am Quote Hopefully, Jim could add this manual Already there...It's been there for some time now... Always looking for stuff though so keep me posted if you ever find something ! ! ! Title: Re: Standard change maker Post by: collecture on May 15, 2011, 03:06:30 pm Yes - I donated it some time ago. I've only scanned the Model 250 Series Changer though. I'll try to scan the Model 500 Series manual and upload it to the site soon.
