Title: Cool old coin op diner napkin dispensers
Post by: on April 11, 2006, 08:44:32 am
Since we are all addicted to anything coin-op here, I thought I'd move Dave's and my discussion on the unque napkin dispensers here instead of in a Pepsi Slider thread. May the discussion continue...

Here is what a Swami one looks like:

Kito

I have one of those already. Was thinking that I might start a small collection of them. Have seen quite a few on Ebay. Madame X, Swami and others.

The Swami one I got is in good condition and after a fiddle managed to even dispense the little bits of paper.

There must be people out there that remember these on site.

How many different types are there.

Should have added that  the "TGI" menu you see in the picture has only been borrowed. I have every intention of returning it....Honest Guv.

There was a Twilight Zone called "Nick Of Time" starring William Shatner that had one of those little fortune tellers in the diner booth. He started believing that the thing really could foresee the future and became frantically obsessed with it. And so was another guy in the small town. Anybody remember that one?
