Title: Ideal 55 restoration
Post by: game1cock on March 09, 2006, 08:00:14 pm
Got a question for the more knowledgeable ones out there.....

Have my slider torn apart and have gotten all the rust off, primed it etc.....  the question is....... the accordion like cooling tubing that sits around the liner........ what suggestions does anyone have for reattaching it to that liner before reinstalling it?  I know it has to lay very close to the metal liner to be effective when cooling..... any help appreciated  :drinkers:

The search engine here is great. Here's a link that could be useful.

Greg (or Gregory?),
#1 - I didn't want to go back to deal with that black goo.  #2 - I don't know if it'll work, but here's the plan.  So, I'm going to make sure the insulation is thick enough to push the cooling tubes against the liner and I'm using some copper tubing, cut into a U and soldered onto the outside of the liner, to hold the lines in place vertically.
