Title: Your dream machines
Post by: coke_and_stuff on February 12, 2006, 08:23:44 pm
This has probably been done a dozen times in the past but I thought this would be kinda cool to see where people stand in their collections of what you have or want to add to your collection. My want list includes alot of hard to find roundtops that I hopefully will someday have all.

Coca Cola machines
Vendo 39
Vendo 44
Vendo 56
Vendo 81 A, B, and D
Vendo 88
Westinghouse JR
Victor bar

Various machines
81 7up
81 RC
81 NON embossed
88 7up "will never happen"
Vendo milk vendor

So whats your dream machines?

Cool idea....
When I started collecting my first old machine was a Westinghouse Master cooler...ROUGH!!!!!!!
At that time I thought I had something really rare and
special .... so I went to the library, even called
Coca-Cola just to find out they are everywhere...
About a year later I bought my Cavilier 72 for (I think) $250 then stumbled on my 81D for $75, a Vendo 39 for $300 and then you all know the 56 story.

As much as I like these roundtops I would really love to own a
Quikold standard cooler of the 7up or Pepsi, I'm kicking myself as a week doesn't go by that I think I should have bought the Pepsi Standard off eBay that was up North but the owner
wouldn't ship, I could have had someone pick it up like that Eric from Machine Movers so please if anyone knows of a good mover please PM me so I can contact them and get an
idea of cost if and when another pops up.
Attached is the Pepsi I let slip through (it went for $2XX) and a Orange Crush for a full view of this style.
I still have the 72, 39, 81D and 56 along with a Jr and Standard Westinghouse pre-war coolers and a 7up Quikold Jr,
2 Dole dispensers and a Pepsi Multiplex dispenser.... Sold most of my Progress coolers this past summer and glad to know a couple members here bought a few and know they
are in good hands...

Besides these coolers would love to own a Pepsi 81 or 88.....someday...

Aghhhhh look how cool that Pepsi is!!!!! What was I thinking!!?!?!!!?

I know i just had one and sold it but I want a Jacobs 56 someday. I would also like to have a Pepsi VMC 88 someday. I really like pepsi for some reason. I also really like the Rc roundtops but I figure i will never find an RC 81 but I would like to have an Rc 110 or 6 case. But my transition RC 56 will do for now.

Dream Machines would have to be,

Vendo 81A,B,D
VMC 81 Pepsi
Glascock Standard
Westinghouse WE-6

This probably sound kind of strange, but I would want the VMC 81 Pepsi the most, I as well seem to like Pepsi first, then the Vendo 81 and so on.

Well This is going to sound goofy but just like I told Johnie
what I want is 1 round top 1 Sq. top 1 Ice Chest  and 1
 chest cooler and  1 dispenser
  Well I blew that I have 5 Sq top's  and 4 chest cooler's
and 3 Ice chest , I did hold true to the one round top
 and the one dispenser.
There Is only a few that I would give the dog for,
1 Walrus Beverage Cooler (I just think there cool )
 2 Cavalier C-27
 3Westinghouse WC-96T

That would make me happy and I would have to call it
 quit's after that.

Great topic.  I know it is not soda related but I would love and original Wurlitzer 1015 jukebox.

I dream of having a collection like Mr. Wolf's.  I'm pretty blessed with a great collection already consdering that I have only been collecting two years.  Here is my wish list

Jacobs 56 Pepsi
Vendo 81
Cavalier 76
u-pop-it popcorn
Medieval Madness Pinball

And this gas pump.  A Tkiem 36b done in Indian gas circ 1936

that about covers it for now.

I bleed Coca Cola (cherry coke?) but a Pepsi 81 would be my first choice for dream machine, followed by a Coke 81, and an Ideal slider, Pepsi double dot. I had a lead for one through the boards here, but job security was up in the air at the time.,,sigh

Great Topic, I've been lucky to get quite of few of my dream machines already but had to part with a few as well when cash was more important than 300lbs vending machines. I'm All Coke, But a Pepsi 81 would be cool!
I have a Coke Vendo 81B, had an 81a that I had restored and sold to a buddy. I had a Coke Vendo 110 Coin Op original paint everthing, just cherry and had to sell it due to space. I still have my Coke Vendo 39 that has the painted on 7cent graphic from Canada, pretty cool. Also have an original Coke Vendo 44 that is just prestine. I had a real nice original Coke Vendo 56 that I had to sell as well. I recently got my Jacobs 26. I had to sell my Glasco 50 and my Cav 72.
Dream to have back would be a nice original Glasco 50 or Ideal Slider.
I'd love to get my hands on a Coke Vendo 56 again
I'd also love to get a few more Syrup Dispensers. I have a Dole Super, but would love to replace the Dole Citation that I had, pretty cool for a plastic machine!

Nice topic!
I already have quite a collection going - much to my wife's chagrin - but what the hey. I built a shed to put them in.
I think I would most like to find a Dr. Pepper Embossed Quikold. After that would have to be a Glascock countertop or Industrial Carton cooler. The DP Servit A250 is kind of cool with the light on top, but not that excited about it.

I love the sq tops, so my dream would be a Vendo92 or 144 found brand new in a old wse.  By the way in the late 60's and early 70's my father worked for Coca cola, use to bring home ton's of round tops that he gave to family and freinds!  He once told me if he would have only knew then, what they would go for today.

Hey Tuna,
We all have 20/20 eyesight! I would have bought stock in Microsoft in the 80's. If you really are into ST's. There was a guy on eBay in FL that had a MINT IN THE BOX Decorator Series 56. This was a while back, but I could probably dig up his email or eBay user name if interested!
Let me know.
