Title: 7up machine lives again! Post by: vendobaldtops on February 12, 2006, 06:41:58 pm I finally got a weekend that I could work on this machine. Many thanks to MoonDawg and Refrescofan1 for supplying some missing parts. I got a 56 ST glass door to replace the solid door; got a 56 can rack put itside and set on free vend, and completed the coin door and covered the crank handle outlet. Not finished yet but I like the way it is coming along and used many of this machine's parts for a one day restoration of a Vendo 56 RT.

Good job. Let me know if you can use any more parts of those 2 56's we talked about. Title: 7up machine lives again! Post by: loman4ec on February 12, 2006, 10:51:21 pm that looks great. It is good to know that the square top bottle door does fit. Now that is what I need to find.
Title: 7up machine lives again! Post by: Creighton on February 12, 2006, 10:52:05 pm looks great!! 56 parts? What do you have for sale?

Title: 7up machine lives again! Post by: vendobaldtops on February 12, 2006, 11:42:30 pm Josh,
Actually, the full glass 56 square top bottle door (without the little emblem / decal divider in the middle) does not fit in the transitional machine. Arggghhh... It was too long by 1/8 of an inch or so. Anyway, I lined it up with my RT 56 solid bottle door and cut off the excess with a hacksaw on the bottom part of the door...surprisingly, it only took about 10 minutes to do. I then used some JB Weld to get the metal cover on the new door. It aint pretty and it isn't permanent but it works for now...I didn't need to cut the plexiglass or regular glass either. I can't remember the exact prices but Refrescofan talked to some guy who had 2 square top 56s from 200-350 range each. I no longer want to get parts machine because I end up not parting it out but wanting to make it complete again...so I search for another parts machine... Title: 7up machine lives again! Post by: Creighton on February 13, 2006, 01:32:18 am Thanks for the info Vendobaldtops!! Chatting with Refrescofan on the parts. There was a very similar 7-Up transition machine on craigslist in San Jose West.
Thanks again!! Creighton Title: 7up machine lives again! Post by: loman4ec on February 13, 2006, 01:58:58 am Was it an electric vend or manual? If it is manual it is really worth $600 just in parts. The cabnet is the same as a regular st56 unless it it is an 81. If it is an 81 the base is the same and can be welded in.
Title: 7up machine lives again! Post by: Creighton on February 13, 2006, 02:27:54 am It was manual and embossed. It would take a fair amount of work to make it look nice and too cool to part out. Here is another machine for sale but it is the same guy. I'll call tomorrow and see if he still has the 7-up V-56.

If I had the $$$ it would be mine. In the pic it is missing the coin mech but in the discription it says it is complete.
Title: 7up machine lives again! Post by: coke_and_stuff on February 13, 2006, 10:38:09 am Im interested in the 110, I already have the 81 and 88 Pepsi might as well complete the set.
Joey Title: 7up machine lives again! Post by: TheGarbageHunter on February 13, 2006, 11:44:53 am I talked to this guy a while back, Danny, I think that is his name. anyways the coin mech is their its just missing the handle. He is a very motivated seller and really wants to move the machine.
Title: 7up machine lives again! Post by: MoonDawg on February 13, 2006, 12:07:27 pm Well I think Terry should buy it. His wife fell in love with Pete's Pepsi 110 after it was restored, and I think she has him on the lookout for one of her own.
Title: 7up machine lives again! Post by: coke_and_stuff on February 13, 2006, 12:44:39 pm $600.00 isnt a bad deal at all, If no one takes a stab at it I may but it will be a few weeks.
Joey Title: 7up machine lives again! Post by: Creighton on February 13, 2006, 09:09:41 pm Just got off the horn with Danny. The 7-Up transition is sold but the 110 Pepsi is still available.
Creighton Title: 7up machine lives again! Post by: sodaworks on February 13, 2006, 10:37:15 pm Has it been converted over to an electric mech.?
Title: 7up machine lives again! Post by: TheGarbageHunter on February 14, 2006, 11:16:22 am No. just missing handle, its a mechanical mech, not a change giver.
