Title: Swami napkin holder Post by: davethebirdman on February 08, 2006, 02:32:56 pm Way of Topic I know but perhaps someone may be able to help.
I am now the proud owner of a Swami Napkin holder and have managed to get hold of 500 cards for it. I have tried to load these cards without any success. Does anyone out there own one of these machines and can provide me with very simple instructions on how to load. I think all the parts are present. Thanks Dave Title: Swami napkin holder Post by: jasmine64 on February 08, 2006, 02:41:32 pm Do you have more pics?
I found this site for you. www.pinballrebel.com There is one listed there. Title: Swami napkin holder Post by: jasmine64 on February 08, 2006, 03:02:44 pm Does your have the menu holder-clips on the back like the one on the web page?
Title: Swami napkin holder Post by: davethebirdman on February 08, 2006, 03:10:07 pm Hi Marsha
Yep has the holders on the rear. I have got my eye out for an oroignal Diner Menu to prop up behind it. Also want a Car Hop Tray for it to sit on too. My wife thinks I'm nuts. Come to think of it all my firends think I'm nuts too. You guys are the only ones that understand. Have looked at that website, thanks. But my simple mind still can't get round how to load those cards. Have included a couple more fotos of the innards. Anyone out there got any suggestions?? what does it look like complete... is there a cover? Looks like Tortoise Shell/Thermo plastic? Title: Swami napkin holder Post by: davethebirdman on February 08, 2006, 04:00:48 pm Hi Eric
Have een after one of these for ages. But cost + shipping from the US has always put me off. One came up on the UK Ebay site and I jumped a it. Mnaged to collect it myself too. Probably cost me what I would have paid in shipping alone. Here is a picture of it on the wall. Title: Swami napkin holder Post by: Eric on February 08, 2006, 05:25:43 pm Wow.... Can not remember his name, but he has been here before (not recently though). I imagine he might help you. Title: Swami napkin holder Post by: jasmine64 on February 08, 2006, 05:45:09 pm Are the cards notched to fit around the piece in the back?
Try emailing the web site to see if they can show you how to load the cards. Hopefully they will be a help to you. Thats a cool looking item. Title: Swami napkin holder Post by: Kilroy on February 08, 2006, 07:49:04 pm Dave,
I saved a link from an earlier discussion (jukeboxes, candy machines??, heck I don't recall) but his Ebay name is coin-op-cat, he has sold and is selling several Swami napkin machines, and cards, jukes, gum machines, etc so I imagine can can give you an assist He also references his home site showing stuff up for bid, so i don't think i will stir trouble by providing this link to his collection PS - I think I speak for all of us when I say no, we don't think you're nuts. and yes, we understand. I'll keep an eye out for the car hop tray, and Diner menu. I know I can find it cheaper or close to free at antique shops or rummage sales come this spring than bid on one on Ebay. Title: Swami napkin holder Post by: BrianB on February 10, 2006, 07:10:45 am Those Swami napkin holders are pretty cool, you'll get it figured out. Nice looking Seeburg 3W1 Wallbox too!
Title: Swami napkin holder Post by: davethebirdman on February 10, 2006, 09:25:07 am Kilroy - Thanks for keeping an eye out. I'm very grateful.
Brian - The 3W1 I got in a batch of three. Two are on the wall one to the Seeburg Juke and the one in the picture is connected to my computer from where I can paly any MP3 file I want. Its great. Don't get that sound of the record being picked up or that jump halfway through the 45 though. Dave |
