Unfortunately, I have begun to ban new registrations! Not something I want to do, but has become a necessary in light of recent events... Should someone contact you regarding SMC Discussion Areas, let me know and we'll go from there... Sad the lame few have made it difficult for the rest. Have been pondering this today. I suppose you could have a "request to join" form that may or may not weed out the spammers. Somebody would need to sort through these for yes/no. What a mess. JohnieG has it right. Proceed as you see fit. I've only banned a certain email server and an IP address range (Ex. 255.255.255.*) which shouldn't effect new members. |
