Title: Glascock standard green paint codes Post by: SIGNGUY on January 17, 2006, 03:14:27 pm I am restoring a Glascock Standard Floor cooler that my Dad had stashed away in shed for many years. Panels are shot but found some repoped ones that look pretty nice. I'm looking for some reference for the proper Green color that should be used for the main frame part of the machine and lid.
Also does anyone make the tops. This one has a notch cut out of it. I'll post pictures as soon as I get it back in my hands. It's still in the shed. Thanks John Title: Glascock standard green paint codes Post by: SIGNGUY on January 20, 2006, 09:09:31 pm Anyone have any input on this.. sure would like to work on it this winter?
Title: Glascock standard green paint codes Post by: sodaworks on January 20, 2006, 11:12:44 pm Hello John,
I painted one a few years ago, I'll see if I can dig up the paint code for you. I am going to painting my Glascock Jr here in a month or two. I need to find new signs, mine are trashed. Title: Glascock standard green paint codes Post by: SIGNGUY on January 23, 2006, 01:57:33 pm Not sure if they are the same size or not ,but I got my from Vintage Vending. at the time they where producing a repo Standard Cooler and where able to sell me just the panels. They obviously are not embossed but still look nice and will work until I could find some nice originals? Just a thought..
Thanks for checking on the paint codes.. even something close would be good enough for what I'm doing with it. John Title: Glascock standard green paint codes Post by: sodaworks on January 23, 2006, 02:28:31 pm John,
I must have thrown out the original paint that I used when I repainted my Glascock standard. However I do happen to have a spray can of "Dupli-color" leaf green that is a exact match of the green that I used. Buy yourself a can of it and have your paint supplier match it to the duplicolor leaf green. This is what I'm going to do in the near future when I paint my Glascock Jr. cooler.
