Title: Old mini fridge Post by: loman4ec on January 15, 2006, 05:33:21 pm About a year ago I bought an old mini fridge from a guy in Ohio. I had big plans for it but it just sat there. Well I finally got around to painting it today. This is one of the practice projects for me so I can learn to paint. I had stripped it a long time ago and sprayed can primer on it to keep it from rusting. So today I sanded that off and primed, Painted and clear coated it. It looks great. No runs and doesn't even look like there is much orange peal. Well I just thought I would share this with you. I think this will make a great beer fridge.

Creighton Title: Old mini fridge Post by: loman4ec on January 15, 2006, 09:57:18 pm Curtis that looks great!! I think for now this one is going to be origional. I tried to get some info on the fridge and all I found was that it was made in 1959 and it is the first apartment size fridge made. It works great and the inside is in great shape.

Title: Old mini fridge Post by: loman4ec on January 20, 2006, 06:35:01 pm Well the fridge is done!! We just got it inside. This isn't where it is going to be permanently but we are still looking for a good place. I didn't have the handle rechromed yet because I am having the parts chromed on the C55 shortly and it only makes since to send it all at one time. Besides it is really easy to take off. I had forgotten that the seals were bad but luckly I had just enough V81 door seal left over from doing the 7up Sv to use on this and it was just the right size. I am going to wait untill tomorrow to plug it in. So what do you all think.

Title: Old mini fridge Post by: loman4ec on January 20, 2006, 11:02:00 pm Thanks. We just got it to where it is going to stay and plugged it in. It is so quiet you can hardly tell it is running. It took a little while to start getting cold and I was getting worried but now it is working great.
