Hey

It looks like I will be getting my candy machine of choice.

One of the old Lance Red pull handle machines. Plus I got a good quote for pick up, boxing & shipping.

Ebay Lance Candy

I had the same machine last year. One thing they are really really really heavy. They must lead the bottoms. I would say mine was at least 350 LBS.

Josh ended up selling his to a friend of mine. His kids absolutely LOVE it! And so does he, all of the money they "nickel & dime" out of him ends up back in the Lance!

Good luck with you auction!

Can the price be adjusted on these machines?

Hello

The lance machine is in the back of my truck.

Funny thing happened. The ebay seller delivered the snack machine to me for the shipping cost. So I received the snack machine next day custom-personal delivery service.

I will post some pictures in the next day or so.

Hello

Let me follow up on the tale of my Lance machine.

I get it to the office in a back room out of sight so I can get a feel for it & how it operates. I start by taking the manual coin rejector/mechanism out to see if I can adjust price. Then I decide to clean the coin rejector. Well the coin rejector falls apart & now I am hunting new parts. I ordered a new rejector from Happ & of course the first one is the wrong type. I order a second rejector after talking with the Happ people but of course the second rejector is back ordered. Now I am waiting & very ready to get my candy machine into the action selling snacks.

So I go on the Lance company website & ask for help. I get a reply today with a point of contact & a phone number. I call the number & the fellow who works in vending says "Yes I have the manual for your machine, Yes you can change the price very easy & Yes I have replacement coin mechanism for your machine" He says I will be more than glad to send them to you & the coin mechanism cost $35. The Lance company is sending me the manual (free) & the coin mechanism with an invoice that I need to pay with a check when I get it!

Wow this is great!  A real person to talk with & repair parts sent on the honor system.

Life is good!

Kevin

That doesn't happen very often anymore. I restored a candy scale last year and the guy I bought parts from did the same thing. sent an invoice for payment with the decals, etc.

Hello

The new coin mechanism arrived today with an invoice for $35. I do have to pay tax but no shipping.

I installed the new coin mechanism & set the price. Plus reading the manual I figured out how to set two vending prices. So I set the machine up to vend crackers for 25 cents & chips & moon pie's for 50 cents. I hope to have it located & in operation on Thursday. I will post some pictures of it in action.

Hey Kevin,
Almost caused an accident today when saw a Lance candy machine like yours sitting out front of a scrap yard, and I made a u turn in my dually. It was beat all up, wondered if it was was in good shape before it got dropped off there. I'm keeping an eye out for one now.:O

My machine is pretty nice & I would advise getting one. It works good, fairly easy to maintain.  Hey if your scrap yard machine is open I think that you could get parts to sell on ebay. The vending stacks come out one at a time & the coin mechanism. Just idea!

Glenn -Moondog   Yes the price can be adjusted & it will vend goodies at two seperate prices.
