O.k. Newbie here so be gentle....
I recently acquired (free) a 70-80's? Rock-ola Pepsi machine model ROC-220-5 and do not have squat for manuals.  Everything appears to work fine, but the front light.  When I got it, the flourescent light was broken, I purchased a new light, new FS-25 fuse, plugged it in, and after an extremely quick flash of light near both ends of the tube, nothing.  The fuse seems o.k. the tube may have blown though.  The ballast is a small box approx. 2.5 in. long x 1.5 in. wide x 1 in. tall.  Is it the ballast? or am I getting surge to blow the light?

Ballast should run about $5 - $6. It's cheaper than a bulb! Check and see if it has a starter also. If it blew the bulb it blew the starter also.
