Title: Coke button clock
Post by: loman4ec on November 28, 2005, 12:31:01 pm
I just bought this nice old button clock. I know this doesn't have anything to do with machines but I just had to show it off. It is perfect. Not a dent or scratch. What a cool clock! This is my first clock or button. I am excited!!

That's nice. Where did you get it?  I have one with the rings around it and the wings, but your clock is whiter than mine.

Wow.... very nice that is a Kay Display clock... from my books it only went
to the upscale places.... It's like Halehouse's ... I had one too... (yet another item I sold
and wish I didn't) That could also be dressed up like his with the masonite wings and wooden
gold bars and rings around it......
Sweet find.... You gotta keep that! Was that a ad response?....

Eric

The clock is actually a nice cream color. It just looks white in the pic. No this clock came from a friend of mine. he is who I delivered the Jacobs 56 to today. He traded it to me and I droped the price of the jacobs $150. I think I did really good for $150. Anyone know what it is worth? I am not ever going to sell it but I always like to know what I have.

ebay clock

$800 would be very top auction house price I would think for one with wings that was in nice shape. Josh's looks nice and clean and would easily be worth more than $150. Maybe close to the $300 range?

It will look great on your wall with your machines.   :drinkers:

Josh I got mine at a antique shop about 3 years ago for $100... I put it on eBay after owning it
for a week and got $375.... it went to Texas..... Regret that more than any other trade or sale I've made... It was all original and working had the wings, rings and wood.... dated 1948 with KAY Display stamped on the back.....
just 2 little scuffs that probably would have buffed off..... You did GREAT! Keep it you'll never come across another that condition at that price. Yours may not of had the wings.... those, I believe could have been extra/option for
display... Also mine didn't have the Telchron on it....

Beautiful clock... hang onto it...
Eric
