Title: Road trip
Post by: sodaworks on October 21, 2005, 09:49:26 am
I am heading out the door on a road trip this morning. First stop is to pick up the Cole-Spa cup machine. Second stop was added last night. I'll call it the mystery stop for now, I was told to bring my trailer.... Thrid stop is a friendly visit with Moondawg.  :D

Talked to Terry about 5 pm yesterday. He didn't mention a mystery stop. Now I'm waiting all afternoon to find out what will be in that trailer. ???   Oh what a tease!

Well my roatrip went about like Josh's. I picked up the Cole-Spa cup machine. It's tall and will be very easy to restore. Very cool looking machine!!! The "mystery stop" was at a Hollywood feature film movie producer's house. He called me last night and said that he had a Cav 72 for 450.00, Scottsman ice machine with a light up galaxy dispenser like Leonards for 450.00 and a V81 for 200.00. These were all supposed to be in nice condition and were used as movie prop.'s. The Cav 72 turned out to be a Cav 51 in less than average condition. The Ice machine was indeed a scottsman but the dispenser was a cheapo from the 70's and the V81 turned out to be a Cav 64 sqaure top. he also had some nice signs and while we were making a deal on them his wife called his cel phone and told him he better not sell the signs. So the mystery stop pretty much sucked. While traveling to stop #3 Moondawg's shop, I recieved a call for a Pepsi VMC33 machine. Hopefully this one will come through, I have bought several machines in the past from this seller so he knows what I want. My visit with Glen was long awaited. I have been trying to get over to his shop for quite awhile now. If you are ever in the area this is a must see and do. It was really nice to visit with you Glen and thanks again for the bezel and your hospitality. Glen also has some nice machines for sell, but I was still a little bummed out from stop #2. So I am thinking about another trailer trip to Glens shop for a "fix".
