Post by: on August 16, 2002, 11:43:45 am
Hi, my husband bought this coke machine, don't know anything about except it's a:
Dixie Narco
Model#DNCB 320/184-7
Serial#0330-2525BG

We don't know how to work it. the change machine doesn't work the dollar bill thing doesn't work (but they trun on??)
we set it to free but no soda comes out????  Also not sure how to load the cans???
Can anyone tell me what this machine is worth or value???
Any help or feedback would really be appreciated.  I need to get this thing up and running for a Labor Day BBQ.

Thanks,

Colette,

I had no luck viewing the picture links you provided... :(

As far as the other problems, this may require you obtaining some form of service manual which could prove to be a difficult task... Does the machine have a wiring diagram on the inside door anywhere?

Personally, I'm not the most knowledgeable on newer machines like this model, but it seems that if the machine is on "free" and you're sure of this setting, maybe a vend motor, vending contact or some other switch in the vend cycle is preventing the cycle to complete and vend a product of choice...

See about the photos on your web host as well...

I think I fixed the pics.

There's no wiring diagram or anything, the two things turn on but the dollar bill machine won't let you feed the $$$ and the change box just keeps returning the money.  And why the soda won't come out that its on free is beyond me????????

Like I said We are clueless, but thanks for your input.

Maybe the pics can help.

Colette

I took the liberty of resizing & converting the pic's to jpg to post so others don't have to wait for AOL (ugh!) to download them.

Here's a generic loading diagram, yoou must move the gates in the rear of the rack your'e loading to take up the slack between the top's of the cans or bottles so the feed smoothly down the stack, use the closest setting that leaves about ~1/4" of slack (width) depending if you're laoding 20oz. plastic bottles of 12oz. cans hope it help... checkout a local
coke vender when he stocks up a machine at a gas station near you they're usally pretty helpfull ( just don't ask a Pepsi guy to show you how to load a "Coke" machine  :D )

Thanks, for the loading diagram that really helped and for posting/fixing my pics.

Now all I need is to get the coin changer & dbv working.

I tried setting it to free but it won't work.  I also think something is jammed cause if you push the inventory button none of the change comes out.  Does anyone have any info on a Maka corp. coin changer Model# US-111A-1 or the DBV Model # NB-10L-400.

Thanks again

I did a Google search and found this place they seem to handle rebuilding/repairing & selling $Bill validators, maybe they can help you out?

Looking to sell the coke machine. Machine works, cools well, & vends, but can't figure out the bill validator and coin mechanism. Does anyone know of a place that buys them???

Thanks

You could try selling it here at the aution area  .
or list it in your home town paper .  or check with
your local vending company and ask,It wont hurt
they may say yes or no.
