It looks the same! What is the power for? Kevin Title: V-63 Post by: Bob K on September 14, 2005, 11:11:57 am Also, I don't ever think I've seen a 63 with "Here's a Coke For You" on the sides.
It's a mystery machine, I guess... Bob Title: V-63 Post by: loman4ec on September 14, 2005, 11:49:23 am There is one CREM and the power goes to the switches that sense that a coin has been accepted.
Title: V-63 Post by: joesquid on September 15, 2005, 01:26:58 pm Looks to me like a coin mech minus a coin changer. I've seen them before....not often though. I'd assume it was a "thrifty" market niche. Soda machines, even into the 60s, were generally set up for .10. There probably wasn't an actual "need" for a coin changer on the mech as most people probably had at least two nickels or a dime in their pocket....having a quarter made you rich! Perhaps the "changerless" coin mech was just another way to advertise a lower price for the machine? Much like the Vendo "Thrifty-Vend" 56-7 machine.
