Are those your "hiding" spots? BTW: You are nuts for doing that today. I would imagine the humidity is just as bad in Ohio as it is here in Indiana today, but I stepped outside to get the mail and it felt like 200 degrees (we have just a small window AC unit in the house). Or is that your excuse for a "cold one" every hour? ![]() Title: Cleaning garage Post by: Jim on August 20, 2005, 03:31:31 pm OK Leonard,
This looks like a perfect opportunity to take a few photos of the Galaxie and D.P. Coolers... All I ask is if you can make sure the whole machine/cooler is in the frame of the photo... Thanks Title: Cleaning garage Post by: coke_and_stuff on August 20, 2005, 05:30:31 pm That Dr Pepper chest is pretty slick! and magnets on your signs shame shame!

I received the photos of your Galaxie. I'm going to try and get it up on SMC in the next couple of days... Title: Cleaning garage Post by: Lulu on August 21, 2005, 07:45:51 am I've often wandered how to preserve those metal signs. Would it hurt to use car wax on them or is there some other method?
Title: Cleaning garage Post by: Eric on August 21, 2005, 09:50:19 pm A beautiful site!...

Hi,Lulu I would only use car wax when I get signs .The varish Or clear Hurts the vaule of the sign.Treat all thing like we do are Machine Careful Also the dispenser barrel will probley be parted out .Has all the inside stuff .The taps are mostly there & The lid is missing .This one came from a McDonalds in Ky .The guy removed it in the early 70s .Never had feet on it .Weird Ltransam Title: Cleaning garage Post by: BrianB on August 22, 2005, 08:09:10 am Very cool collection!

I especially want the light up sign/lid rest on your Cornelius compact 50 slider. That's the only thing I'm missing on mine. |
