Title: Cavalier uss vs css??
Post by: BryanH on August 12, 2005, 12:42:34 pm
I'm looking to get my hands on a Cavalier USS machine as a keeper for the back deck because it was my understanding that the USS models are made to vend both cans and bottles whereas the CSS model would only vend bottles.

Here's an CSS-80 auction that is loaded with cans?? Is this a case of being able to load the machine with cans even though it wasn't made to vend them?  on the CSS models I assume you would have to pull open the gate with one hand and then pull out the can with your other hand?

That is correct.  The main problem with the cans is the difficulty in getting them out as compared to the bottles in the CSS.  I have heard that it is a fairly tigh fit to be pulling the can out of, but have never used one so can not speak from experience.  The USS is very easy to vend both due to it tipping them out.

Josh may have nmore experience with the cans in a CSS, I think he has had a a couple of them. ???

It is possible to vend cans out of a CSS but I don't suggest it unless you have really small flexable fingers. They are really hard to get a grip on and pull out. If you want a machine for cans I strongly suggest just getting a USS-64 or 96. They are made to vend cans.
