OK here is my collection. The slider I restored, the 56 is orginal, double cola and selectvend recently purchased and will be winter projects. The grandson is my third and my most prized item who will inherit one of these machines.

Here we go - The grandson will be the last pic!

The 7 up is a selectvend sl48. Someone added the chrome around the edge but I will take that off and make it orginal.  Selectvend actually converted these machines from a 48 the 7 up you see on the front is embossed.  Thanks dr galaga for the help....maybe someday I will figure out how to do this picture stuff....

Love the Double Cola Quikold!...... Anything they made is hard to find
How'd you come across that?....
Seven Up embossing is in a weird spot almost an after thought or did they use
a die that originally was for a solid door like on and Select-A-Vend where the
bottle came out of a shoot at the bottom.
Great collection... these are gonna be killers when done.

And Congrats on the grandson!!

Eric

Hi eric, I just got lucky on the machines. I was at an auction and the gentleman had this in a shop but it was not part of the auction. We struck up a conversation and now I am the proud owner. Your eyes are very sharp the selectvend company orginally had the 48 it was a single vend with the handle because of competition of offering multiple drinks they retro fitted these SL48 with vending door and shelves and that is why the embossed 7 up is off center.  The double cola is a water bath and both are working they just need some TLC like the grandson.  I have three grandson's and now they each have a machine......I love these old machines. I am more of a square top and chest cooler but they are all great.  I also have an old Mills machine that I am almost done with and I will get some pictures of it up here by either getting smarter or asking dr galaga to help.....

Yeah we love the pictures here. A Mills would be cool to see.
Wanna see that Double COla when it's done too.
See you kinda new here.... Welcome and stick around!

3 grandsons and 3 machines..... That's a great excuse! Ha
I've used that angle on my wife... It's working so far.

Again Welcome!
Eric

I dont know if I can afford any more but I will sure keep it in mind.  I also have an old beverageair in my office at work. I will try and get a picture of it and put it up also.

Kito- you would be proud of me, I also dont like anything on top of my machines and you have me now looking hard for 10 ounce embossed coke bottles.  They are hard to find.

Let us know if you need any help with the pics. Tricky operation but seldom fatal.

G.B.
Welcome to the site!  You've got a very nice collection, I especially liked the shot of your newest helper!  It'll probably be a few years ( I hope) before my oldest presents me with grandkids....he's currently seven.  :D

The amount of experience on this website is truly staggering so feel free to ask questions and learn.  I picked up more information here than I thought possible!!

I agree eric,  I actually have been reading the posts for awhile and I have been very impressed with the knowledge up here.  I have already picked up a lot of information. As Creighton and dr galaga already know I am not just real computer friendly and have not said much but I really have enjoyed this site and the information you guys have provided....

They're not small to me...
Let me rephrase that...
This photo in this thread are not small; what images are you referring to...?
