I am going to Denver thrusday any neat places to go see? Matt Title: Denver Post by: dr galaga on August 10, 2005, 11:11:57 pm The Denver Mint (where they make coins) is a cool place (sorry it's not soda related).
Title: Denver Post by: Creighton on August 11, 2005, 12:30:19 am The mint is fun. Last time I was there folks were set up outside selling miss/double strike coins. Bet they were related to employes. The natural history museum is better than most. In any new town I just ask the hotel staff and take a look throught the yellow pages. Always something to see.

Title: Denver Post by: on August 16, 2005, 07:40:04 pm It's not soda related, but there's a very nice amusement park in downtown Denver - Elitch Gardens, believe it got bought out by one of the major chains. It's right next to downtown, where there used to be rail yards for the passenger train station. If you feel like touristing, you can drive up by Estes Park and go over Trail Ridge Road, which is the highest paved road in the country -- you end up at tundra level, and have great views. Plus it's cooler up there. Coors offers brewery tours in Golden Colorado, and up I70 by Georgetown there's the Georgetown Loop railroad, where steam powered trains loop over themself on a high bridge and go over several miles of track to go 2 miles as the crow flies, due to the steepness of the canyon. Have a great trip, it's a neat area.
