these machines are from the early to mid 60's and were the replacements for the embossed "round-cornered" Vendo V56's, the advantage of these machines was it could be sold to any soda supplier by just changing the lightup signs to whatever "Flavor" that was needed ( the very early versions had an external coin mech and a manual push-to-vend lever) some Pepsi versions had plastic Pepsi caps in place of the fluoresent sign, and some others just had painted metal panels
none of the machines had fluoresent lights in the bottle vending area, but some did have a small "night-light" size bulb at the top of the bottle rack area to show what flavors were being sold. many of the parts are interchangable between different brand machines (being they're all made of the same chassis) they usally come with changers adjustable from $.5-$1.85 of course being shelf vendors they hold 56 bottles of  whatever flavor.  the biggest thing to watch out for is what I call "belt-line rot" (rust) this is caused by a leaky seam in the inside cabinet leaking water into and soaking the bottom layer of insulation, causing a "belt" of rust around the bottom of the machine. a plugged drain can do this also. hope this helps!
PS I've bought these ranging in price from $75-400 depending on condition.

Thank you very much for the information. We are glad to finally know something about our machine. My dad bought it an auction about 15 years ago for about 25 bucks. So we got a good deal on it. Its in excellent condition..we use it everyday. Thanks again.
