Title: V-56 shelves and new size coke cola bottles Post by: glassbottlesrule on August 06, 2005, 09:17:14 am The new bottles stink. They are slowly rolling them out across the country, we went to it in December. Down south still has the old style embossed bottle. The new bottles are different shaped and the bottom gets caught up in bottle gates of my machines.
Title: V-56 shelves and new size coke cola bottles Post by: dr galaga on August 06, 2005, 09:56:39 am Here in the Chicago area I saw the first "smaller" 8 oz. Coke about 2 months ago. I didn't notice it at first. It wasn't until it was on the Coke bottle shelf in the kitchen that something caught my eye - that one bottle looks smaller. Wait, it's the new one! Never seen an embossed 8 oz. though!
Title: V-56 shelves and new size coke cola bottles Post by: glassbottlesrule on August 06, 2005, 12:50:50 pm The bottle on the left is the embossed bottles we've had around here for years. It's been this bottle since Coke went from the 6.5 to the 8oz in the 90's. Great look and the right feel. On the right is the new bottle which is lighter feeling shorter and just doesn't fit the hand right. Also, the broader skirt that doesn't taper at the bottom gets stuck in my slant shelfs unless I set it up for the bigger bottle size, even then it's a pita to yank out, I'm afraid I'm going to break it I have to yank so hard.I do not even wanna think about these running for the older bottle drop machines.
