Title: For racerx45 Post by: Ltransam on July 27, 2005, 09:40:43 pm Hi, Racerx45
Iwas looking at your Collection an noticed that your Tome-Stone was missing a botton like mine was .Well I new it would be hard to find a replacement one . Then I thought Hay that the same a botton on the Cornelius Compact 50 Slider .I have one .Low & behold it's almost perfect .Pluse if you grind the pins of the crome ring it will be a great match to the orginal !!! There easy to come by for abought $20 or cheaper .They made diffirent colors & styles (Coke in White & Red --Tap & Sprite ) I'l post 3 pictures . Thanks for the info. I will try and get the one Halehouse posted and see how it looks. The pictures of the one I have seen for the front (tap side) don’t show the chrome ring so as long as I can pop that off and it is still the right size I should be good to go. Title: For racerx45 Post by: halehouse on July 30, 2005, 02:57:20 pm Steve,
Glad you saw it. I was going to PM you. Dan Title: For racerx45 Post by: Ltransam on July 30, 2005, 08:49:05 pm Hi, Steve
I forgot your's was missing the frount .Mine was missing the back . Dose'nt your back have a crome ring IT Must be the part-timer's kicking in . The one Halehouse told you to look at has a reply from some one saying that's it's from a Tomestone .BUT !!!! the metal on the back is just like the one on my (60s) Cornelius cooler in my Garage I even removed it to make sure . Some had a metal backing & some did'nt BUT I dont have 35 years a Coke Plant ... Only 7 years of collecting & Parting out abought 8 Cornelius coolers to make one good one .. Leonard Title: For racerx45 Post by: Ltransam on July 30, 2005, 08:52:03 pm DUH !! Forgot to say I'V never seen a Tomestone Button with the metal backing & Crome pins ..
