Title: Electricity use
Post by: jasmine64 on July 27, 2005, 08:44:19 am
ok. before i buy the chest cooler Cav. 22 I found, How much electricity does these things pull?

I had my vendo 63, vendorlator 56 and of course my cv 168 running for long stretches of time at once in my garage. Couldnt really tell they used much , I am just wondering what a big machine like the cooler would pull.

Also how hard is it to service?

The running current is listed on the ID plate, in general it varies (increases) with compressor size.

I think what I'll use it for is mostly family functions and cook outs. Running it off and on some in between uses.

Keep this in mind as well...

Just like your refrigerator; if the compartment is left empty, the cooling cycle will increase causing the refrigeration to run more often. When products are in the cooling compartment, they retain the cold longer than air and thus keep the sustained temperature for longer durations which in the end, keeps the compressor from cycling frequently.

With that said, if you plan to operate your machine, my suggestion is to keep it a full as possible during operation so the electric consumption is lower.

Just my thoughts of basic principals...
