I just went to my PM's to get some information and there are only a few in there (only from the past month). The PM that I was looking for is a few months old and is not there. 
Are the Personal Messages auto-deleted after a certain period of time?

I just checked and see that it's set to prune after 30 days... So, you're right!
I've never been asked this before so I'll set it for 2 years, how's that...?

Mine too. After reading Dr. G's beef, I checked and mine did the same thing. I think you should set mine and everyone's and a long limit.

It's globally set for two years; so, everyone that utilizes PM's (Private Messages) will have them remain up to two years... After that, the system will delete them!
I'm not sure how long the Notepad keeps information...
