Title: Wc-44sk compressor pictures
Post by: BrianB on June 06, 2005, 08:40:17 am
Here's some pictures of my recently repaired/refilled/restored compressor deck for my 44. I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Disregard the 2x4 in the picture...Westinghouse didn't include that option, I just though it added a few points to the "cool factor"! :D

Brian,
How did you get the copper so clean?  That's absolutely GORGEOUS!

Thanks guys! I used a combo of steel wool and for the really tough stuff I used some REALLY fine sandpaper. For final shine (which comes before final install) I'll use some NeverDull for a good ole' Navy shine!! I miss brightwork....... :D

Gotta love that shine....  the bar continues to be raised on what is acceptable clean.  Nice job Brian.
