Title: Ebay search topics Post by: MoonDawg on May 28, 2005, 12:37:14 pm Careful not to search plural. "Soda Machines" will not pick up a guy selling his only soda machine.
Title: Ebay search topics Post by: vend_dr on May 28, 2005, 02:52:14 pm On my searches I will add the * after the word so I get anything that matches my my sequence of letters. Such as I collect old soda cans so I will search for can* in the soda catagory and I will get everything that starts with can.
Title: Ebay search topics Post by: jasmine64 on May 28, 2005, 03:26:47 pm Right now I have my Vendorlator listed on ebay
as Vintage Vendorlator 56 Squaretop Coke Machine. Hoping it would generate a couple hits with some of the wording. Dont think it will do well with it being a holiday weekend. Title: Ebay search topics Post by: on May 28, 2005, 03:44:16 pm I found my Vendo 39 listed under the following categories:
Antiques > Antiquities (Classical, Amer.) > Other I think that is why (or I like to believe) I was able to get a better price then if it had been listed under the vending machines Title: Ebay search topics Post by: on May 28, 2005, 11:36:34 pm Yeah, that's why I search using search words rather than relying on categories.
Title: Ebay search topics Post by: racerx45 on May 30, 2005, 01:38:22 pm Here are a few things I do that helps find what I am looking for. I do an advanced search and check the box that says search title and description. This will show a lot more items in each search but it will also eliminate the need for multiple searches (i.e. one for Vendo and an other for Vendo 110). The other thing I do it search by newly listed items this way you only have to look at what is new since your last search not all 7+ pages looking for the items I haven’t seen yet.
