Title: Cavalier cs-96e Post by: on May 10, 2005, 12:50:50 am I can buy a cavalier cs-96e for $300.00. It is all there and runs good. Has a few scratches and one small dent on the side. The lights all work. It has a coke bottle decal on the front, I am not sure if that was added later.
What do you think. Thanks any help is greatly appretiated, Lee (newbe) Title: Cavalier cs-96e Post by: on May 10, 2005, 12:55:12 am Round top or square top? I'm assuming square top, right?

Title: Cavalier cs-96e Post by: on May 10, 2005, 01:00:35 am Lee, welcome to the group. Great to have you here.
I'm no expert, but have learned a lot here. What matters most is if it feels worth $300 to you. Value depends a lot on the buyer's taste, needs and perceptions. That said, I have seen similar machines go for anywhere between $150-$500. If you like it and it is complete and running, then I would say that $300 is a good enough price. Title: Cavalier cs-96e Post by: on May 10, 2005, 01:03:37 am I like it, it will look great in my garage. I have alot of nastalgic things.
Thanks for your imput, it helps alot. Lee Title: Cavalier cs-96e Post by: on May 10, 2005, 01:12:47 am Glad I could help.
Perhaps offer $250 and if they say "no", then feel just fine about settling for $300. Again, welcome to the family here and to the addiction of collecting machines that you are about to develop. Title: Cavalier cs-96e Post by: on May 10, 2005, 01:15:51 am Thanks again

LMAO Kito. Lee you can't say you haven't been warned. Anyone want to place bets? I say Lee buys his SECOND machine by years end Title: Cavalier cs-96e Post by: on May 10, 2005, 10:42:37 am Year's end?!? I bet by month's end!!!
I joined here and bought my first machine in January. I have since bought 6 or seven machines over the past 5 months! Just call me Josh Loman's little Jedi apprentice. Title: Cavalier cs-96e Post by: on May 10, 2005, 11:22:36 am once you start you can't stop. My wife & I always look for antiques. soda machines may be in the mix.
thanks again, Lee Title: Cavalier cs-96e Post by: Kilroy on May 10, 2005, 05:15:54 pm Welcome aboard Lee,
I picked up a CS-96e this weekend, and from searching Funtronics, and the Soda Jerk Works catalogs (both have contact information in the vendor's section) parts are easily obtainable. The price was low enought I thought I would turn around and throw it back up for sell, but after a few hours with it, it will be a restoration for the future game room. Markito speaks rightly, it's a great hobby, but highly addicitive Title: Cavalier cs-96e Post by: on May 12, 2005, 10:29:23 pm I bought it and I am very happy about it. Had to pay $300.00 but I am ok with it.
