Title: HELP: Ideal 55 Slider- Flapper/Coin Mech Removal Post by: tshulman on April 11, 2023, 02:58:30 pm This is my first Ideal 55 restoration. The machine I got had a bunch of rusted bolts. I am trying to remove the flapper so I can remove the coin mech & bottle rack from the machine. I drilled out a rusted solid allen screw on the top of the flapper, but it is not detaching from the shaft. Am I missing something? Any advice on how to remove this? Thanks!

Or you could try Heat from a propane touch just across the top with of the flapper and use a piece of wood and hammer and tap the flapper away from coin mech . I’m assuming you have the rack screws out ? Title: Re: HELP: Ideal 55 Slider- Flapper/Coin Mech Removal Post by: tshulman on April 11, 2023, 10:47:28 pm Thanks for the advice. It took some banging with a crowbar and mallet, but I got it off.
