Title: Clueless please help
Post by: on April 22, 2005, 02:30:41 pm
Help!  We are the now the owners of a Cornelius SV-136-4AC Coke machine.  We are new to this type of restoration.  The machine does work and gets cold, however, the coin box inside is missing so the cans will not dispense.  Also, one of the plastic selector buttons is cracked.  Can anyone help us.
We would like to find replacement parts and any info on this machine. Thanks, Gary and Family

Gary and family,
Congrats on the new machine and welcome to the forums here. I'm personally not familiar with that machine, so I don't have answers for you, but I just wanted to say "welcome" and "stick around". Good to have you here. :)

Gary - Like Kito I have no experience with your type of machine but....

check out the suppliers listed on this site.  Funtronics and/or the SodaJerk Works.  Both have parts for many machines and more importantly both have friendly knowledgeable people willing to work with hobbyists.  Another approach through these boards is to use pictures to identify the parts your concerned with... Many of the folks here have substantial machine and parts inventories.

Yes gary please post some pics. I might have a similar cornelius machine that I might be able to look at to help.

I'll be interested to see if your cornelius looks anything like mine (model # 50-0842)...

Mine is a different machine. If you go the the coin mechanism section of this board you can see how to wire a free vend switch. they are really easy to make. Or you can buy a new coin mech. they are all the same. JohnieG reworks them and sells them for a great price. And his work is great. I have two of his redone mechs and I could not be happier with them.
