Title: Cavalier 72 main door removal Post by: SodaShopNick on June 23, 2018, 02:13:51 pm Okay, I give up...how do you remove the main door off of a Cavalier 72? The hinges have a cap on the bottom and the top. Do these need to be removed to be able to lift the door? Are you just supposed to be able to open the door about 90 degrees to the body and lift it? I have tried this and it does not seem to work, but then it probably has not been removed since it was built. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The cabinet door should lift off. You may have to spray some penetrating oil like PB Blaster and work it back & forth while applying upward pressure. Hopefully, everything is still present inside the cabinet to keep it as heavy as possible while attempting to lift off a difficult door... I cut the wire and when re installing the door I use spade terminals to re connect the hot wire .
