It's a very good machine and the only thing wrong with it is the cord is frayed. If I was keeping it, I would replace the cord.

The 56 is tough to find as a nice original for whatever reason. Never understood why pricing on the 56 is lined with the 81, maybe even slightly less when it is far tougher to find. I think only because most people don't know the 56 exists.
