Title: Orange Crush Sign Post by: cola62 on February 24, 2018, 06:56:09 pm I know a lot of you guys collect signs like I do. Have any of you seen this one in this finish? It is an 18x54 sign from the late 50's or early 60's. I have seen the white part in solid white but not like this. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I’ve had some that the waxed paper was just so adhered to the sign it wouldn’t come off without a lot of trickery.

But... it may not affect the value as much as you might think. It depends on how rare the sign is and how attractive the “ design” is. Your sign actually looks cool with that design. there are a few tricks to help with it but it's risky. and not sure how it would affect the rest of the sign.. I've used soft scrub with bleach on a few white signs... I've used Mequires paint cleaner I've had mixed results but overall made the signs look better. I have done this too on white signs.. put it on , and let it sit outside in sun a bit too helps... then have a hose nearby and wash it off good.. but just use caution.. |
