Title: Dragged Home a few Goodies... Post by: Jim on August 14, 2017, 08:01:12 pm Just sharing a few purchases I recently made...
Very happy with the Pre-war Stoner Vendors! The gray cigarette machine is a typical 50s National 9 selection that is complete and works! The red circular vendor is manufactured by Snax Automatic and actually works but it has a very unique lock that is part of the frame where the drum mounts... Will have to go to my locksmith so they can unlock it, hopefully... The rusty brown vendor is a later 30s National Standard Cigarette Vendor complete, except the mirror... I also brought home a Stoner 120 6 select model, not pictured, in decent shape but missing the two mirror trim pieces... . Title: Re: Dragged Home a few Goodies... Brent,Basically, what ever will fit inside one of the vending slots while leaving access for your fingers to remove the product... It's an American made vendor out of Detroit, MI. Look forward to seeing it once open and functioning in full

Title: Re: Dragged Home a few Goodies... Post by: Jim on September 02, 2017, 08:53:36 pm I was able to get into the red vendor, Snax Automatic Stores, Inc. , Detroit, MI Pat. Dec. 25, 1928, Model A
The lock cylinder was broken which actually helped, even after getting a key made, it still wouldn't rotate as it should... Simple design that works, appears to be complete down to the coin box. Appears that it may have been originally a dark green, on the lines of the Glascock "Morocco Green". Technically, this is the wife's machine... She wanted me to buy it ! ! ! No really, that's the truth! Title: Re: Dragged Home a few Goodies... Post by: Eric on September 02, 2017, 10:20:12 pm maybe (and carefully) wet sand through all that paint maybe a decal or silk screen design/sign may be under there... had to have said or been something on the wider areas.
