It's what's know as a Transitional machine . It's from the late 50s when the suppliers were converting from round corner machines to the Squire corner machines in the early 60s to present . They made many models like it . They use similar parts as the round corner machines Bottle stack & Shelves & coin mech and the coin door and a few other common parts . But do not get them confused !!! The Transitional machine do NOT have the value the old Round corner machine have . This version is a Vendorlator 56. (Not embossed lettering ) Fully restored Value maybe $2000 That's more then the cost to restore it ($4000 + ) A round corner version is the Vendo 56 (Lettering Embossed) restored value $ 5000 + But I aways say if you like it It doesn't matter As I own a similar version in Faygo pop I got from a member here Title: Re: Vendo 56 Post by: djh00000 on March 05, 2017, 04:44:12 pm Thank you very much for the info. I have never seen a square one and the guy wants $3k for it.

Title: Re: Vendo 56 Post by: SIGNGUY on March 06, 2017, 10:06:38 am although it looks repainted, that might be all that it has done to it? you would have to determine if it was full restored, inside and out, and then, only then might he even get more money out of it..
but based on what I'm seeing, the paint looks too orangy and the decals are wrong font, so I would be looking to buy this as an unrestored machine and again in that 1200-1500 tops. GOod luck! |
