Title: Problems with dispensing drinks Post by: on April 08, 2005, 12:39:04 pm Ok I am having a problem. I recently got a new coinco changer for my coke machine. And It accepts my change. If I set it to $0.05 it takes my change and gives back the correct amount of change. But It wont dispence any drinks. I recently had set up the switch to have free vend. And that still works fine. But When I put money in the machine the relay only holds closed for a split second. And will not dispense any drinks. Now I was wondering if maybe this is a bad reley or a problem with the coin mec.
Here is a pic of may machine. If this helps any... If anyone has any idea of what this might be feel free to e-mail me at matt@ezgameservers.com Thanks Title: Problems with dispensing drinks Post by: on April 09, 2005, 01:04:50 pm Anyone have any ideas?

If no one gives you a reply you may want to check out these posts: http://soda-machines.com/cgi-loc....db3a9cc I ran a search on 9800b since the beginning of the board. Title: Problems with dispensing drinks Post by: loman4ec on April 10, 2005, 10:16:36 pm I gave Matt the changer. I tested it a while back and it did work. I did not however play with the changer much just put it in a machine and it worked and then I went on to another. I have never worked on a push button machine so I really don't understand what could be going on, but when we spoke about the problem it seemed that the solenoid was not engaging long enough. He says that he hears a click but it will not dispense drinks but it does work when it is on free play. He sees the solenoid and it does cycle but only for an instant. It is almost like it is thinking that it got the coin but then it changes its mind??? I really don't know. Matt could you possibly post a pic of the solenoid or relay in question. One of us might have a spare for you to try. If it is the same as on a slant shelf machine I have a few spares. If not we will try another changer.
Title: Problems with dispensing drinks Post by: vend_dr on April 27, 2005, 05:58:34 pm I would try a different coin mech. With the machine working on free play if pretty much eliminates any problem with the machine itself.
Title: Problems with dispensing drinks Post by: johnieG on April 27, 2005, 08:55:38 pm Sounds like the Power supply/regulator on the logic board is going bad,as it supplies power to the coinmech's vending relay, which in turn tries to draw power form the logic board to pull in the contacts to send the "Vend" command
(a 115volt line-voltage pulse to the vending/relay) which should hold the machine in a "vend-ready" state until you push a flavor/selection button, which should power the vending motor for that column & dispence a soda. if it fails to suppy the required current to the smaller vending relay on the logic board, it will short-cycle it & the big (main) vending relay won't have time enough to "latch" ( it takes about 1/2 of a second to latch the main relay) so I agree with vend_dr, if the free play switch works fine then it's the coinmech, you can send me the board & I'll see if it's repairable, or you can replace the coinmech. outright & be done with it, & in the meantime just us ethe free-play switch..the choice is yours...hop ethis helps...JohnieG |
