Title: Mills 120b2
Post by: on April 07, 2005, 01:42:25 pm
We have a Mills 120B2 coke machine in our warehouse..have had it for years. Someone has made me an offer but I don't have a clue what would be a fair price...I don't even know if it still works.  Does anyone have a clue on a fair price?

I was offered $300...does that sound right?

Hi & welcome!

Well the book put out by Jeff Walters (classic soda machines/3rd edition) lists this model at around $700.00, but I (personally), wouldn't pay much above $400.00 unless it was the earlier version (there were two) with the little coke bottle in the plastic bubble on the front top center of the machines door, based on unknown running condition, & these buggers are Heavy! (650lbs & Yes, I've moved one, not fun!) & very tall, but a true collector would be willing to pay a bit more I'd imagine, in the world of soda machines, bigger isn't better, so if it's complete, working, & undamaged ( in regards to the Coke bottle mentioned, if so equipt.) you'd be able to pull more than $300/offered, in my opinion anyway...hope this helps, too bad it isn't a little model 45, it would be worth much more. :)

Alexis,

What can you tell us about the machine as far as condition, is it complete and does it function both mechanically and in cooling...?
Additionally, can you post a photo...?
What is the condition of the plexiglass bottle...?

-------------------------------------------
Sorry for the redundant post; I just came back from a call and almost had it typed and I just posted...

Thanks for responding. This one evidentely is a later model because it does not have the plexiglass with coke bottle on it. All the parts are there, I don't know if it runs or not. My grandfather acquired this for the business when it was new and we have a newer vendo so I don't know if this one quit working or he just wanted a new machine. I guess I need to pull it out and plug the darn thing in! It does have scratches in the paint...it will need to be re-painted. I'm still looking for the key...it's around here somewhere.

Where is the machine located? WOW 80" tall and 650 lbs. That is one big heavy machine.

I always wanted one of the old mills machines and I finally found one. To give you an idea my machine was a pepsi but it was in pretty good shape with no major dents or rusting and it still cooled.  I paid $250.00 for it. I had only heard of these and never seen one until I bought it.  It is huge and it does weigh a bunch.  I have it stripped down right now and will eventually get around to painting it....

I just recently found this web site and I dont know who came up with the idea but it was a great idea. I really enjoy the site. :p

well welcome to the site and congrats on finding a neet machine. I like the Mills as well. They are different looking than the others. Which model is yours. I have never seen a pepsi Mills do you have any pics of the machine.

My mills is the 120 also and I will get some pictures of it and put them up when I can get it back together.  It was an orginal pepsi because I have sanded it down. When I bought it, it was the light blue with some 58 decals but when I sanded it down. It had the old pepsi cola bottle cap decals and was the orginal dark blue. I am new to this resoring so I move at a snails pace.  I have it stripped and ready to work but I got side tracked with an idea slider embossed pepsi that I just could not wait to get done but I have it finished now and I will get to work on it....
