Title: Stoner Theater With Gum Wheel Post by: mygoose101 on October 15, 2016, 12:28:31 pm Not mine just sharing ad.
I wasn't sure Stoner made a Theater with the gum wheel? I also thought all Theaters came with the wood grain finish? Because it does appear to be totally original perhaps they made a Theater version with the gum wheel in hammertone green? Either way, nice machine! http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lgb/clt/5824066052.html Title: Re: Stoner Theater With Gum Wheel Post by: jbrumett on October 15, 2016, 06:42:06 pm I can confirm they did make them because I own one.
I was unsure myself until they started popping up a couple of years back and others verified their existence. I own a nice original Stoner Theater so when I got a chance to land mine ( at a fraction of the price, I couldn't pass it up). Mine is in storage so don't have any pics to post right now but will try to find some. Steep price on this one but that's my opinion. I would be more than happy to sell mine at that price. Thanks for the post Ray. Interesting that they made less than 5% of the machines with gum wheels. That's most of what we had on our route. I've never owned a theater model though. Title: Re: Stoner Theater With Gum Wheel Post by: mznb1u on October 17, 2016, 01:38:10 pm I agree that the Fresh Candy marquis does not appear to match the rest of the machine but I think that may be the bright light from the white drywall washing out the color from the mirror reflection. It would be better to see a picture of that machine in natural daylight to be sure. Rare but $5,000 rare? Seems a bit high.
But I guess they are not making any more of them! I added the picture from the CL ad for reference. :drinking: Tim :drinking: Title: Re: Stoner Theater With Gum Wheel Post by: sodaworks on October 25, 2016, 10:21:48 pm I paid 350 for the one I had. These are 10x harder to restore than all the other Stoners. I've done a couple. Lots of linkage parts.
