Title: Re: hires ideal 55 freezing up Post by: johnieG on October 04, 2016, 12:55:48 pm 1: bad thermostat not shutting off compressor
2: overcharge system (too much freon) 3: evaporator lines are broken loose from sides of liner, this would also cause a warmer that expected tank temperature ( IE; not cold enough inside) and a longer compressor run-time because themostat sees box as too warm & calls for compressor more often or runs it longer. 4: thermostats capillary sensing end isn't in good contact with tank wall, again causing long run times or never shutting off 5: wrong thermostat for application |
