Title: Do I still need a run capacitor? Post by: Jake777 on September 27, 2016, 11:23:59 am Not very experienced at all when it comes to wiring this is my first project when it comes to this stuff. I am re-wiring my westinghouse wd10 and I have two new fan motors that are single phase. Does this mean I no longer need the run capacitor? I've attached my wiring diagram below. So If I no longer need it I would just connect the fan motor wires to the number 2 & 3 terminals as opposed to numbers 4 & 5 as it was originally, correct? And then for the condenser fan motor the two wires would connect to the run winding and common terminals on the compressor?
