Title: Pepsi ideal 55b + coca-cola cavalier c-51
Post by: on April 03, 2005, 01:54:46 pm
Frist post,
Since i am new i know very little about vending machines and i have two machine that need a new home, from my parents getting divorced.  My Mom is in no need of these two machine and would like to get rid of them.  I have a few questions for everyone.

What i would like from you guys is to verify I have the correct model, a estimated vaule, and if anyone here would like to buy these items before they get sold else where

The First is what i believe is a Pepsi Ideal 55B,  The only marking on it is what i think is the serail number of 2G-38923, and that the coin dispenser is made from Ideal Dispensers CO.  I also believe this is fully working.  There are some minor marks on the paint and some small dents on the back side.  See picture

The second is what i think is a Coca-Cola Cavalier C-51.  Now this i dont believe this works at all, I believe it was purschase to rebuild the machine but my Dad never got around to it.  It is in the same condition as when we purschased it.  Now you may laugh but yes we got it painted Green.  There is a Red paint under the Green.  See Image

Thanks for everyone's help

Bob

Hello and welcome. The ideal looks nice and although a slider machine, i could see it going for $300. The coke is a nice model, and it it has all it's parts, I'd say $250-300. Plus, you could easily convert it to a Mountain Dew machine :;):

If Josh passes on the slider, I'd be interested in it.

Thanks for every responsing so quickly, and thank you KIDBRETT for such a high end value.  I was not really expecting it to be so high.

For any one that may be interested i am located outside Philly, PA in Bucks county.

Is the slider embossed? If not it is just a regular generic ideal 55. The quote for $1000 for the Cavalier 51 is way too high. especially if the working condition and completeness of the machine is unknown. I personally wouldn't price the 51 at more than $200 to $350. What would you like to get out of the machines? Again email me at jdloman2000@yahoo.com or call (513)697-6231.
Josh

Agreed, I would say about the same price - a few hundred dollars - since it will need to be refinished.

I bought a Cav 51 a little while ago, clean as a pin, paint in great shape, everything in it ...and it cools down to 33 degrees for $300.  (got a vmc 139 in the deal to "get it off her hands).

I know someone desperately seeking a slider and they do not want to restore one, the want a turn key... so to speak.  Embossed is not an issue as they don't know the difference.  Again, if you and Josh do not work something out, let me know.

Hello,Johonn
I have to agree with the higher price on the Pepsi-Slider If it's NOT embossed it would still bring close to $1.000 And the C-51 would need to be restored In it's condition now $250-$500.If it's all there.I know everyone wants to buy cheep !! But let's ALL be FAIR !!!!!!!!!

I have sold machine's cheep to get them started .Just to find out there only in this hobby for $$$$ So I won't sell any of my other starter machines

Johonn

I would be interested in the Pepsi Machine, if you were prepared to ship to the UK. I'm not a dealer and certianly not in the hobby (which I'm new to) for ££££
