Title: Good place to restore Cavalier CSS-141G Near Tulsa, OK Post by: drexton311 on April 29, 2016, 08:32:14 pm Newer member here and I would love some input from the experienced guys (and gals) on here. I have a Cavalier CSS-141G that I believe has a bad compressor and is missing a few items. I'd say its 90% there. Anyway, I know you are going to tell me this machine is too big for personal use, but this particular one has a lot of memories for me as I use to buy bottles out of this very machine as a small kid. It was given to my uncle, then to me. Enough of the history... I would like fully to restore it but do not have the time or experience to do it myself. Does anyone know of a reasonable shop near Tulsa, OK that can handle this job?
Thanks a bunch! Josh Title: Re: Good place to restore Cavalier CSS-141G Near Tulsa, OK Post by: Creighton on April 29, 2016, 09:31:17 pm Welcome to the board. Regret can not help with your question.

Any work on the compressor is going to be 300.00 - 500.00. After that, a restoration could add $1500.00 and upwards. We all have our favorite machines, but is it worth it to you to plunk a couple thousand or much more into your machine, then when it's all done, it's worth $400.00 (if that)? That's the thought for the day. :drinking: Title: Re: Good place to restore Cavalier CSS-141G Near Tulsa, OK Post by: MoonDawg on May 16, 2016, 10:47:30 am Any work on the compressor is going to be 300.00 - 500.00. Your best bet is to look around your own home town for any glass door machine like the Cavalier 64/80/96 etc. that looks ugly but has a working cooling system. It will take you less tha 30 minutes to swap compressors. http://soda-machines.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=278&Itemid=14 (http://soda-machines.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=278&Itemid=14) |
