Title: Coca cola clock motor?
Post by: cormy on April 27, 2016, 10:27:56 am
Got this rough one the other day. Marked Hanover Clock.

What motor would go in these units?

A battery motor has been added which I really don't care for and doesn't appear to work anyway.

A Google search on:

Turned up a few possibilities. Nice clock hope you can find the right motor.

Does that clock have a telechron motor in it? They're easy to find. It may be too new, though. They used Telechron motors in a lot of clocks and signs.

Wayne will be especially tough to get in touch with. He passed away a while ago. I'm told his family is running the business. I've left several messages and no one ever calls back.

Here's a random forum that has some photos of the clock motor with some markings, maybe that will help out?  The motor appears to have 33-473 marked on it, might be a clue

I have one of these same clocks. Anyone know how to restore severely faded raised letters and numbers? The only good part of the face is the button logo. The rest is faded.

I put a new battery back in the modern movement that it came with tired of looking for this. Works great but not a second hand sweep that I'm sure these had.

Also learned some through the process. I was asking for a motor but ALSO needed the movement..meaning the gears that control the hands, brass in this case. The MOTOR would mount to this.
