Title: Manual location Post by: WDG on March 03, 2016, 04:08:33 pm Hey, I'm a newbie and I'm having trouble finding where I can get manuals. I have five machines, 44 SK, VMC 340, WD 5, BA-28S,Rock-Ola 3303. The 3303 has a little door that opens with a turn of the handle and then punctures the tops of the cans and the two points are apparently heated to sanitize them. I need a manual for the 44 as I'm trying to put the cooling unit back in and I can't remember what it sat on if there was a rubber piece under there or anti vibration rubber mounts. I just got it painted and don't want to screw up the paint job and more than I already have. A little help would be appreciated. I read the help column but it didn't answer my questions. :help: I will get some pictures when I can get my shop cleaned up a little so everyone won't be calling me a slob. I am a slob, just don't call me that.
Title: Re: Manual location Post by: Slapshot42 on March 03, 2016, 05:07:42 pm The manual section is available to members after the have posted to the site 100 times. The manual section has a good variety of manuals but not every manual out there.
Google is your friend in many cases. As far as your compressor placement goggle search your machine and look under images you may find one that you can look at a picture that will help with placement. Welcome to the Site! Title: Re: Manual location Post by: Slapshot42 on March 03, 2016, 05:46:36 pm The manual section is a separate log in system to the discussion area.
You will see a log in section when you go to www.soda-machines.com. The discussion area has its own log in where pictures are welcome at anytime! Welcome aboard! There wasn't a rubber pad originally but when I mounted the compressor to the plate when I refurbished my 44, I used a thin sheet of foam rubber under the compressor. It made a nice difference in quieting the vibration. Jim Title: Re: Manual location Post by: Jim on March 03, 2016, 07:39:16 pm WDG, Welcome to SMC ! ! !
The Downloads Section does not have information on the models you listed; it contains several manuals, but because there are people who depend on sales for their lively-hood, we do not advertise an extensive free library... Title: Re: Manual location Post by: HowDueYouDue on March 03, 2016, 09:32:48 pm A newbie with 5 machines? Can't wait to see how many you have as you progress. Welcome to the site!
Title: Re: Manual location Post by: WDG on March 03, 2016, 10:14:18 pm I've had a WD 5 since mid 70's, got nickel Cokes out of it in the 50's. Sold WD-12 a couple of months ago. Really need help with what the compressor plate is supposed to sit on. I took it to someone before Christmas and now I can't find any pictures showing the bottom before I took it/ apart. I didn't think the man would keep it that long. He sand blasted it and repaired two holes in the side. I should be . Able to post a couple of pictures tomorrow.
Title: Re: Manual location Post by: WDG on March 03, 2016, 10:25:34 pm I think I will check with McMaster Carr to see if I can get a piece of heavy duty u tubing to go around the edge of the compressor plate. I think the compressor plate only bolts at the front. I don't have a cover at the back for the condenser fan so I will have to make one.
Title: Re: Manual location Post by: jholmgren on March 04, 2016, 03:06:52 pm The 44 compressor plate bolts on both sides. Here are some pics: http://www.littlebluespitfire.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=9860
This is the main gallery page for my 44 refurb, separate photo albums for various tasks. I hope someone finds it useful: http://littlebluespitfire.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=9846 Jim Title: Re: Manual location Post by: WDG on March 04, 2016, 07:33:19 pm I ordered some hard u tube nonmarking rubber so the new paint job won't get scratched up. Mine appears to be just a little different. There is no vent on side for the condenser fan, just on the back. I took some pictures and will try to get them posted tomorrow if I can figure out how to do it.

Title: Re: Manual location Post by: jholmgren on March 06, 2016, 08:47:44 pm Jim - he does not have a Vendo or VMC 44, but a Westinghouse WC44SK. Thanks Tom, totally missed that. Reading is fundamental. Actually, I'm always a little confused, but I thought that pictures or albums was not allowed or going to be put some place else. Also, I have Googled until my fingers are tired looking for something in a manual or some help with my Beverage Air BA28S. I can not find anything. It is supposed to have water in the bottom, I think. There are a number of holes in the side of the tub at the bottom and at the top. There is no sign of a pump any where so I don't know if the water is supposed to circulate or just sit there. If it is OK to try to post pictures in this thread, I would like to do so but the only time I tried to do a picture, I got some kind of message saying something about avatar. Do I need to download an app and save the pics to an avatar extension?
Title: Re: Manual location Post by: ajf5577 on March 07, 2016, 03:38:11 pm There is a pinned post at the top of the General Chit Chat column that explains file sizes. At the bottom of each posting page there is a button that says - "choose file". This allows you to attach pictures.
Title: Re: Manual location Post by: WDG on March 07, 2016, 06:09:54 pm Ok, thanks I see the file size is 75kb with a total of 300kb. Not very much. I will have to do some work to get them down to that size.
I would like for anyone to check with me on the BA28S. I just started to work on it and I am pumping it down as it seems to be our of refer. Can't figure out how the water is supposed to circulate??? For that matter there are holes almost at the top of the tub. I'm going to try to get a picture of the tube in a smaller size so I can post it. Sorry for being a pest but I have some major personal issues that keep distracting me. It is actually set to 150KB for each image.Title: Re: Manual location Post by: ajf5577 on March 07, 2016, 09:21:37 pm Ok, thanks I see the file size is 75kb with a total of 300kb. Not very much. You might try it. I believe you can get more suggestions if people on this board can see what you're dealing with. Takes about 10 seconds will save by default in your camera roll ... Front shot and left side. Looks like two bolts up front and probably slips under a flange(s) in back. Title: Re: Manual location Post by: cyberphox on August 21, 2016, 08:02:57 pm thanks for the pics
